What can we say about the Tyringham Arms!!! Well if your ever in or around St. Ives, Hayle, Penzance etc then it is deffinately worth the drive to Lelant Downs to visit this lovely place. The welcome you get from Mike, Yvonne and their staff is second to none and you are made to feel like part of the furniture. We first visited in September 2011 with our children whilst on holiday for an evening meal and the service was excellent with delicous food. We returned then on the sunday for the cavery which was amazing, the desserts are to die for, all home made as well.
We decided we had to go back again, even if it meant driving down from South Wales. We had the chance this past weekend whilst Lisa and I took a weekend away in Sennen Cove. We returned for our evening meal on Friday and were given the same warm welcome we had received back in September. Again the meal was superb and Mike reserved us a table for sunday lunch, the cavery again which was superb.
Mike and Yvonne make all their customers feel extremely welcome and will spend time chatting with everybody and make you feel at home. I have no problems in returning again in the near future and if we lived closer we would eat there more often.
A superb atmosphere with excellent food, you couldn't ask for more from such a lovely couple.
Hopefully we will see you both soon, best wishes from South Wales.

Visiting the Tyringham Arms absolutely made our September 2011 family holiday! What a great place! Not only was the food delicious (we had the Carvery and Evening Menu Meals on different days) but the welcome (and drinks!) were excellent too. We also had a wheelchair with us and lots of help with it. This really is a superb spot and needs to have more recognition - with a queue waiting to go inside! Thank you Yvonne and Mike. We hope you get the crowds you deserve - but keep a table available for us!!
Enjoyed a delicious carvery on Sunday. I had freerange roast chicken which was very tasty and the others I dined with had roast pork which was equally good.Great selection of fresh vegetables and the puddings were to die for. We were too full to manage one straight away but were able to take one home to enjoy later.
We have known the restuarant for many years, but had stopped visiting because things had gone down hill, but they are now back in really good form and offer great value for money as well. I would recomend the carvery to everyone.
